AJ Island Wins Charity Match Cup, Visits Late Adaobi’s family, gives out Free Medical Services to Ajegunle People

Aj Island recently won the Charity/Peace Match being organized by Pastor Sunny Ekpoma, General Overseer of the Foundation Church at Easter Monday in Maracana Field,Tolu Ajegunle,Lagos.

It was a moment of celebration and togetherness of all young and old Ajegunle achievers coming in one platform to advocate for peace in Ajegunle.It was a match between AJ Mainland vs AJ Island that ended in 1-1 draw after 95 minutes of extra time.

At the 95 minutes of play, both teams performed excellently well and it all ended in penalty-shoot out as AJ Island won AJ Mainland with 5-4.The charity/peace cup was officially co-presented by Baales of Tolu and Ibafon to AJ Island.Free medical services and food stuffs were given to Ajegunle people and some players were sent to late Adaobi’s family that was gruesomely murdered by Ajegunle police to condole and show love to them.

 Mr.Ugochukwu Ifediora popularly known as’Rivascourt’ charged Ajegunle achievers to remember their roots. This game is to unite all sons and daughters of Ajegunle who once grew up and became somebody in life.

Don Kefe,the Ajegunle legendary sports administrator called on all Ajegunle achievers to invest massively on the developmental growth of the city to curb youth restiveness and crime. This game to bring back the glory of grassroots sports in Africa which Ajegunle was known for.

Pastor Sunny Ekpoma,the General Overseer of the Foundation Church and the host of the Ajegunle Charity/Peace match said Ajegunle is not a bad city as it is negatively painted in the media. This charity match to condole with the family of late Adaobi that was murdered by the police in Ajegunle.This match to say no to drugs,cultism,youth restiveness and police brutality.

Pastor Sunny added that Ajegunle has raw football talents that must be showcased internationally and such event like this can help some young football players to be sponsored for international leagues.

Prominent Ajegunle achievers in attendance were Chief Michael Ubogu, Daddy Showkey, Frank Eborka,Oba White,Tunde Alapini,Shaibu Mohammed,Baales of Ibafon and Tolu,Ojobaro Michael and others.
