The Federal House of Representatives member and Chairperson House Committee on Diaspora Matters representing Ajeromi-Ifelodun constituency, Hon.Rita Orji has called on Ajegunle residents to remain proud of their CDAs, stressing that only cowards will deny Ajegunle community as their base, I was elected from this great city and I will remain vocal in the National Assembly.

Speaking to the combined CDAs (Okoya, Aroworade, Garuba, Moshalashi and Ogungbe), Hon. Rita Orji said, I heard how some youths were killed through unnecessary violence and that is why I’m here to address everyone on this impending issue of unscrupulous killings among our future youths in Ajegunle. It is sad that our CDAs in Ajegunle are being hijacked by desperate politicians who want political power by all means using vulnerable youths to cause unrest in Ajegunle.

I have lived at No 56 Olayinka street and other streets in Ajegunle and this is my base, so I’m not here to campaign on 2019 election but I’m worried on the rate which youths are killed through things that are not worthy to die for in life.

Hon.Rita Orji told the residents to be security conscious and not allowing politicians to use their children to cause electoral violence. None of these politicians’ children are in your means, so you must caution your children to live peacefully and pursue their careers in life. If I sold my life to prostitution while growing up, probably you won’t have elected me as your House of Representatives member in 2015.

Speaking further, Orji promised to provide the CDAs borehole water and they should endeavour to channel complains to her 51 Kirikiri road constituency office than concluding that she is running a tribalistic politics. There is life after politics and I will remain committed to modern politics and don’t allow any politician including myself to use your children for political thuggery, she warned.

Mr.Alaka Kolawole,as the CDAs general coordinator said, this is the first time, we are seeing a legislator coming down to discuss grassroots issues with us. We really appreciated her coming and everything we need as CDAs, we shall forward it to her.

Other members of the CDAs also spoke on the need to beef up security in these troubling communities that have taken over by people that live with us, they voiced out.
