The Catholic Men Organization of Nigeria(CMO),St.Charles Catholic Church, OLodi-Apapa yesterday, marked Fathers’ day celebration and honoured Hon.Rita Orji, member Federal House of Representatives representing Ajeromi-Ifelodun Federal Constituency and Chairperson House Committee on Diaspora Matters and other faithful humanitarian personalities in Ajegunle.

According to Hon.Rita Orji, who was elated with the philanthropic award said, I have been receiving many awards since I was elected as a member of Federal House of Representatives representing Ajeromi-Ifelodun constituency to work for Ajegunle people not political party. This award will continue to spur me to do more for my constituency.

I ‘m worried about the spate of insecurity threats in Ajegunle among youths in recent times. It is sad that our politicians are using our youths in Ajegunle to cause political chaos than making them fulfill their destinies in life.

“2019 is at the corner, everybody must get his or her PVC to vote for the rightful people and if you don’t have PVC, it is means you are an enemy of democracy in Nigeria. I’m not here to campaign for election but to charge you to vote your choice candidates in the next coming elections in 2019.”

Orji added that if Ajegunle must experience political tranquility, then parents must do the needful to monitor the activities of their children. Violent politics cannot produce enviable politicians until our youths in Ajegunle change their thinking caps for career progression in life.

Ajegunle youths are not touts and we must not allow our youths to be used as killers’ squad for politicians. I’m not a repentant catholic but born as a catholic from the birth, she said.

Hon.Gaza Jonathan Gbefwi, members House of Representatives representing Karu-Keffi Kokona Federal Constituency,Nasarawa State and Hon.D.C Hosea Gashaka/Kurmi/Sardauna Federal Constituency,Taraba State commended Hon.Rita Orji for her positive representation in Ajeromi-Ifelodun Federal Constituency for the past three years now and she was born as a man in woman’s form. We are all proud of her in her dogmatic roles in legislative issues at the National Assembly, they said.

The Parish Priest and Dean of Apapa Deanery, Very Revd.Msgr.Anthony Erinle also commended Hon.Rita Orji for her quality representation at the National Assembly and also advised her to continue with her giant strides in politics. We are all proud of your good works in Ajegunle and may God continue to protect you and family, he prayed.
