Federal House of Representatives member representing Ajeromi-Ifelodun Federal constituency and Chairperson Diaspora Committee Matters, Hon.Rita Orji has called on Nigerian women to support their husbands for the financial growth of their families, advising that women must stand firm to build their homes not just only domestic works.

According to her, every good woman must support her husband to rise in life. Every responsible woman must respect her husband no matter the status you command in your workplace or business. “The success of every good marriage lies on the woman, so it is the responsibility of every woman to keep her home from the prey of the enemies”.

Hon. Rita Orji also used the occasion to celebrate international women’s day with 100 Ajegunle women by providing soft loans for them.

She explained that these loans will enable them to do small productive businesses that can bring happiness to their marriages in life. At this present economic hardship in Nigeria, women idleness must be discouraged. If we decide to give out this money without attaching loan to it, many women will use the money for their immediate wants that will create further hardship in their lives.

The criteria we used for these loans was that every beneficiary must bring one passport photograph each, detail of the kind of business to do, personal phone contact, account number and house address. Our selection for these women empowerment was based on recommendations from the leaders of Catholic Women Organization of Nigeria (CWO) and Confraternity of Christian Mothers Apapa-Deanery.

The purpose is not for 2019 elections but to see that Ajegunle women are financially empowered in life. I started Tasly world with #47,000 that changed my entire financial life as a woman in Ajegunle.

Mrs. Rosemary Okike, one of the Hon.Rita Orji’s beneficiaries commended her for this magnanimous heart for Ajegunle women. I will use my loan prudently to do my business. It is only God that will reward her for us in Ajegunle, she said.

Hon. Rita Orji also paid a condolence visit to the late Alhaji Monsuru Ojora’s family, Baale of Layeni Town, whose sudden death occurred recently in Ajegunle.

According to her, late Alhaji Monsuru Ojora was very good to me while he was alive. His kind of traditional leadership is exceptional in Ajegunle.Mr.Kunle Monsuru also thanked Hon. Rita Orji for taking out time to condole with the family. God will continue to protect you and family, he prayed.

She further explained some of her political challenges being faced in her constituency to Chief Ojora Adejiyan,Lisa of Ojora Land.Ajegunle community is for everybody and we must support good development for our people but unfortunately some political enemies want to frustrate my constituency projects in Ajegunle.I will continue to do my best for Ajegunle people, she promised.

In response, Chief Adejiyan commended Hon. Orji’s visit to his house. If you did not explain your constituency achievements to me, I never knew you were the one sinking all these solar boreholes in Ajegunle. My advice to you, every project you embarked upon, put a signpost with your name for Ajegunle dwellers to see your projects.
