One grassroots philanthropist that has over the years shown humanitarian kindness to the poor is, High Chief Michael Orobosa Ubogu, the Enyioha 1of Obingwa Kingdom,Chief Executive Officer of Micura Services Limited and a renowned maritime expert with integrity.
As Chief Ubogu sets to celebrate 10th anniversary of Micura Services Limited by February ending, his love for less privileged in Nigeria is worthy of emulation. One of the Mindset courtesy visits to Chief Ubogu, to present Mindset Media Hall of Fame Calendar 2017 recently, where he stated that, despite the growing economic recession in Nigeria at present, it won’t stop him from empowering the poor. As we set for this event, my Human Resource Manager will look for an orphanage home for Micura Services Limited to present gifts to. God has been faithful to us and we must all appreciate His love for the sustainability of the company, he added.
When it comes to grassroots empowerment, Chief Ubogu is one young man that has love for the downtrodden to the core.Ajegunle is one community that is creatively blessed with talented young footballers which love for grassroots sports cannot be taken for granted. Another golden name for Micura Services Limited is empowerment. Many growing youths are under the Micura scholarship scheme from primary to university level in recent past years.
 Chief Ubogu has a traditional responsibility of rewarding every Micura staff with foodstuff every year, in spite of the biting economic hardship in Nigeria, 2016 was not left out. Most of the meritorious awards received in recent past years were based on his philanthropic empowerment at the grassroots.
His charitable empowerment is not to show off his wealth but to appreciate God’s marvelous works in his life and to see that many charitable personalities follow suit in empowerment legacies in the country.
