The investiture ceremony of Rotary Club of Mushin Metropolitan, District 9110 Nigeria recently installed Rotarian Bolarinwa Olaseni Odukoya as the 32nd President of the club and with other new officers for 2018/2019.This colourful event  was held at Darlington Hall,IIupeju Lagos, attracted crème da la crème of personalities in Nigeria.

According to the newly installed President of Rotary Club of Mushin Metropolitan,Odukoya said, he will continue the philanthropic legacies of his predecessors that had laid great foundation of selfless services to humanity in Nigeria. It is my professional responsibility with the support of my new officers to do something creative in this glorious tenure as President.

Odukoya said, for the benefit of those first timer in attending Rotary functions, Rotarians provide service to others, promote integrity and advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through our fellowship of business, professional and community leaders. With the support of every member, we shall take Rotary club of Mushin Metropolitan to an enviable height, he promised.

Chairman of the installation committee, Mr.Kola Olowu said Rotarians must care about others, daring for others and sharing with others. It is our commitment as Rotarians to strive hard and ensure that every human life we come across remains precious through our service and we elevate such lives. Rotarians are seen as great men and women not because of their level of success but because of the compassion we have for the less privileged world, he asserted.

The immediate past president, Rotarian Gregory Otsu commended the past predecessors and board of directors for supporting his leadership and he used the opportunity to encourage the new president to remain steadfast and complement on the legacies of the club.

Gregory said when he came on board in 2017/2018, he focused on three core areas of focus and intervention namely; membership drive, initiate new projects and the revamping and consolidating on previous projects. We must encourage our new president and his team to take the club to the next level.

It was a moment of celebration as faithful and committed Rotarians and guests were honoured with awards and gifts as native band group thrilled guests with good music, assorted drinks and sumptuous meal were served.
