-PDP electoral coordinators and party observers commend exercise

The Federal House of Representatives member representing Ajeromi-Ifelodun Federal Constituency and Chairperson House Committee on Diaspora Matters,Hon.Rita Orji, has commended on the just concluded peaceful PDP primaries held at Umuoji hall, Peoples bus stop in Ajeromi-Ifelodun,adding that the exercise was hitch-free and delegates acted maturely without violence.

According to her, delegates have the power to choose their choice candidates and every aspirant in this political game is eminently qualified and everybody is a winner. In PDP, we are one family; there is memorandum of understanding, whoever emerges as winners in the two constituencies in Ajeromi-Ifelodun, all other aspirants will work with them.PDP as a party is bigger than any individual.

Hon.Rita Orji also commented on the reason she refused to cast her vote at the PDP Lagos State House of Assembly primaries in Ajeromi-Ifelodun that every aspirant belongs to her, so casting her vote for one aspirant might cause another political tension within our party.PDP is a unique party with excellent people with great minds, she said.

108 delegates were accredited for Ajeromi-Ifelodun constituency 1 and 2, total of 49 votes were casted in Ajeromi-Ifelodun constituency 1, Hon.Babatunde Musibau Yusuf (BMY) emerged winner as he scored 24 votes to beat his closet rival,Hon.Idera Abiola that scored 19 votes,Hon.Joe Agboola 5 votes and Hon.Luqmon Odumosu 1 vote. In Ajeromi-Ifelodun constituency 2, total of 57 votes were casted, Hon.Oliver Abba emerged winner as he scored 27 votes to beat his closet rival, Hon.Oladele Egbayelo that scored 16 votes, Hon.Uche Esomunu 9 votes and Hon.Kola Lawal 5 votes.

BMY commended all delegates that voted massively for him to emerge as the PDP candidate for the Lagos State House of Assembly Ajeromi-Ifelodun constituency 1 and said his victory is for every PDP member in the local government. All my fellow aspirants must come together to work as one family. Our task is not just celebrating victory but to win Ajeromi-Ifelodun constituency 1 in 2019, he advised.

Hon.Oliver Abba added that all other aspirants should see his emergence as the PDP candidate for Ajeromi-Ifelodun Constituency 2 as no victor no vanquish and our major concern now is to see that the party is coasted to victory in 2019 in Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGA.

“I can’t betray this mandate given to me to serve as Lagos State House of Assembly and I will continue to respect all my party leaders, he promised”.

Mrs.Bolanle Ogunderinde as the INEC  official said PDP delegates in Ajeromi-Ifelodun behaved maturely in casting their votes for their choice candidates. This political maturity demonstrated today shows that PDP is ready for the 2019 election and it was a transparent exercise, she said.

Party observers of each aspirant in the race also praised the electoral coordinators for conducting free and fair exercise without altering the process. Our major goal to see that PDP emerges victoriously in 2019 in Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area of Lagos State, they added.
