Federal House of Representatives member representing Ajeromi-Ifelodun Federal Constituency and Chairperson House Committee on Diaspora Matters, Hon.Rita Orji has charged Muslim leaders in Ajegunle to be wary of desperate politicians that intended to use your children and wards to cause electoral violence in 2019, adding that only peaceful elections can bring sanity to our community.

Addressing the galaxy of Muslim leaders, Arewa leaders and other community leaders in Ajegunle that paid courtesy visit to her constituency office recently,Hon.Rita Orji said, it is sad that Ajegunle community has turned to bloodletting zone where this dastardly acts are freely carried out by our children being used by desperate politicians to get  political power at all cost.

Orji who was furious on the spate of killings and street fighting among youths in Ajegunle community, said I had lived in this community for 45years and built my houses and businesses here before I contested for this present position, using innocent youths to cause political mayhem by politicians is not the best for us as Ajegunlites.

Muslim leaders must wake up and monitor the activities of their children towards the 2019 elections. If any politician asks your children to take arms and ammunition to perpetrate violence in the community, tell them to bring their children first including my very self.

“No matter the huge amount of money they give your children to cause unrest in Ajegunle cannot buy a life that is lost. A life that is created by God should be valued at all cost.”

Speaking further, Orji said Muslim leaders should use the Ramadan fasting to preach peace and unity among all tribes in Ajegunle. We must reflect on global development of Ajegunle by our politicians.

This is not a campaign gimmicks on my ambition in 2019 but I’m bitterly worried on how Ajegunle is negatively painted black as a result of some of these heinous and atrocious acts being carried out by youths that ought to be agents of change.Ajegunle youths are blessed with talents and it must be used productively and creatively to bring the community to limelight.

She stressed that Ajegunle community belongs to everybody and nobody should use his or her political ambition to create turmoil in the land. Power and fame is transient but life is valuable to God. I will never remain in the House of Representatives member forever and my representation belongs to everybody in Ajegunle not Igbo or PDP,she said.

In response to some of the views aired by Hon.Rita Orji at her constituency office, some of the Muslim leaders and observers used the Ramadan fasting to pray for her great roads rehabilitation, skills acquisitions training, sinking of boreholes and other developmental giant strides in Ajegunle and we are all proud of your detribalized representation at the National Assembly. As the saying goes, Oliver the twist, ask for more, some community leaders also asked Orji to bring visible developments to their streets; Okoya Bridge and the completion of Muyibi Street.

Orji promised to use this remaining one year to complete all the projects she has embarked upon since she was elected as House of Representatives member. I will do my best to see that Ajeromi-Ifelodun constituency 1 and Ajeromi-Ifelodun 11 is fully impacted on my projects.
