Hon Uche Esomonu is one of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) faithful that has refused to defect to the ruling party in Ajeromi-Ifelodun for the past fifteen years, having contested election into the councillorship position for two consecutive times which electoral result had been outrightly overturned by the powers that be in Ajeromi-Ifelodun politics.

Precisely before the 2011 general elections when I met Hon Uche Esomonu through one of my beloved sister,Mrs.Ujiro who was then living opposite his house at Ekene street, off  Babani in Ajegunle, Lagos. Little did I know that Hon Uche Esomonu was a family friend to my late father, Pastor Friday Odidi who once contested for Vice Chairmanship position under the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) but whose victory was stylishly aborted by the powers that be then.

No doubt,Hon.Uche as he is fondly called as ‘Udeco’by friends and admirers, he is one of the grassroots politicians that is highly loved by his wards and people in Ajegunle. In 2017 LGA elections in Lagos State, particularly Ajegunle,Hon.Uche Esomonu’s campaign was extraordinary when it comes to massive followership and supporters around him. He is one young man that fears no mortal and always speaking his mind to anybody that cares to listen.

As 2019 approaches, Hon.Uche Esomonu has indicated full interest to contest for Lagos State House of Assembly in Ajeromi-Ifelodun constituency 2 under the platform of the PDP.His ambition is not a rumour again but reality. He has taken Hon.Rita Orji as his own role model in grassroots politics whose representation at the National Assembly has positively affected Ajegunle people for the past two years and 10 months.

Lastly, Hon.Uche Esomonu is set for 2019 elections and one of the frontline PDP aspirants that are determined to bring political liberation to Ajegunle people if elected come 2019.
